I tried, but got this error

That would mean either your host (or yourself) has locked you out of those files.
Generally, through FTP, you should have full control over your files.
Contact the host.
Also, it appears your host has Safe Mode Enabled, which changes the way uploads are handled.
I'd study up on ways to work around the Safe Mode Restrictions.

umm well i use firefox but other people say it gets the error.
Page cannot be displayed.
