Changing ordering method will have a number of technical issues.
Definitely not competant with phpmyadmin, so I'll stay away from that, but it would be nice to move threads up/down in forums.
You don't have to be competent, you just have to edit it.
I would highly recommend knowing how to edit a database anyway - it could save you in the future as well.
As mentioned, there are many technical issues with sticking a second display order - for example - if you had a thread with 1000 posts, and you wanted to move post #100 to #2, you'd have to change the order # for all the posts from 2 to 100 (or 99).
All you have to do it go into phpMyAdmin, enter the posts table, go to the relevant PID and change the timestamp of the post.
