I am planning to change my host shortly. I am using a outdated version of MyBB and want to upgrade. Can I install the latest MyBB on My new host and simply import the database from my Old MyBB? Will this work?
The outdated version is 1.2.9.

You should either upgrade your existing installation to the latest version before moving, or move to the same version and then upgrade when you're setup with the new host.
