How do I enable a certain group with the ability to ban a user for a few days? I would rather not give my moderators the ability to enter the AdminCP and instead just be able to click on a users name and then click on the ban user link in their profile to ban them.
I believe this should be made possible/easier in MyBB 1.4 as I think it's horrendously difficult to do it in 1.2.12
Thanks for the reply, but do you know of a way to allow super mods to ban?
I personally are not letting my super mods ban anyone, but you can give them limited access to admincp:
Admin CP --> Users and Groups --> Admin Permissions
Edit the permissions on a user-to-user level, or whole usergroup by clicking appropriately.
Through that, you should be able to let them ban members.
Or you could download the Forum Warning System plugin. Letting Moderators give a 100% warning type shall ban the user.
