I would like to suggest a few enhancements for the calendar:

- multiday-events
- starting/ending times for events
- repeating events

then in the 'nice to have' -department would be:

- reminder emails (a cron-job?)
- invitation emails (through admincp)

A upgrade of the Calendar in MyBB is planned in a future version (possibly the next version after Gold) in which we'll be taking a look at several features and improving them in both usability as well as functionality - for example the Calendar and the Member List.
