Is there any way to assign an image to boards? I mean so on the Index, the image is shown in a separate column?

I don't understand what you mean.
Do you want to have a different image for each forum?
Or do you want to have a different logo for each page?

Yep, sorry when I said board I meant forum.

There is a mod for it, but I saw that there are users complaining of bugs in it.
