Hello,

I want to convert my SMF powered forum to MyBB. Is it possible? If so, how? I read that if I first convert to phpBB then to MyBB, but I don't know if I have the newest converters or not. So, please post here the links for the newest MyBB and phpBB converters.

That has phpBB 2 and 3. However if you wait a week RC3 should be out with SMF.

I just tried out Merge System RC3 on a new myBB install (merging from SMF 1.1.13) and everything seems to have transfered - nice job!

But...
There seems to be an issue with the passwords transferring over. My old passwords are all invalid and each user has to reset their password in order to log in to the new myBB forum.
Is this because my old SMF mySQL tables were Latin1 and the myBB tables are UTF8 ? If so, would selecting Latin1 for the database table type during myBB install fix the problem?

try updating your loginconvert.php from the latest one off the MyBB Merge System download and make sure its activated.
