Ok, on these forums it says: "Private Messages (New 1, Unread 0, Total 8)"

I have 4 read messages in my inbox, and 4 read messages in my sent items area.
Therefore there should be no NEW messages. Is this just an error? or am I missing something?

Strangely now all of a sudden its back to normal, no new ones.

Messages remain 'new' until you logout/login again or simply let your session expire (after 15 minutes).
