How do you manage portals like adding a poll to it etc.

There are a few settings for the portal in Admin CP --> Board Settings --> Change --> Portal Options.

If you want to change the layout of the portal, you'll have to edit the portal templates in Admin CP --> Templates --> Modify / Delete --> *expand your template set* --> Portal Templates.

Other changes may require modifications/plugins.

Could you explain what you mean by "manage portals"?

Adding a poll would require a code modification.

Have you checked Vbulletin ? look at the portals they have polls, total members etc. like that I want
