Do our Admins need to have all secondary usergroup boxes checked within our user profiles? If these are checked, do we then attain all the privileges that these users (super moderators, moderators) have?

Our issue comes in with our moderators. They need to be able to perform general forum upkeep. Our administrators need to be able to do EVERYTHING.
No, in fact, admins have automatic access to ALL admin and mod features unless otherwise set by a root admin.

No this is not necessary.

General Admin CP permission and super moderator privileges are granted in the usergroup settings (you can edit the Administrators usergroup, by default "Can Access Admin CP" and "Is Super Mod" are selected).
