My users can create their account. When they are activated and go to log in, they log in, are told they succesfully logged in. However, they cannot log in. It just says "Hello Guest!"

Same thing happens when I try to log out. No one, who is saved logged in, can log out. HELP!!!

You should double check your cookie settings (AdminCP -> Board Settings -> Change -> General Settings).

In general the settings should be:
Cookie domain: <blank>
Cookie path: /
