I'd remove the shoutbox too, that kind of thing is more for "social" forums, not "help" forums. I'd also move the Our Knowledge category to the bottom, until you at least find things to add to the forums in it, right now it looks kinda silly being at the top and empty.

And i put the "our knowledge" category at the top so it would be the first thing people saw, and i told some staff to post in it, but it looks like they haven't yet. So i will move it to the bottom for now, like you said.
