I recently downloaded the BGstyles, and am wondering how to remove certain icons/buttons at the top. For the ones I do want to keep, how do I send them to an actual URL?

You will need to edit the header template .

Templates are just HTML FYI . You can look up HTML tuts/learners' guides/etc. in a snap on any search engine.

this helped me also but i also need to know how to add my own matching images w/ links but he didnt include the psd for the toplinks

Well, it shouldn't be too hard to just take what's there and CP over the text. That's what I do when I don't have a PSD. Just rebuild from scratch.
