Forgive me for all my feature requests. I know they can't all be added, I just like to get the ideas out there so people can stew on them. If I had the PHP/MySQL skills myself I'd put them into action. Unforunately I'm one of those guys that has all these ideas and no way to get them out of my head. I envy you PHP/MySQL people.
Anyway is a list of some more feature ideas:
1. Blog View. MyBB already has linear and threaded view, why not a blog view.
An example of this can be seen on my livejournal filmmaking community:
http://www.livejournal.com/community/filmmaking/
Notice how the entire first post is shown with the avatar and a link to the responses.
This would be great for people running certain forums as blogs and for news forums.
2. Backdating. I'm not sure if it's currently possible, but it would be a nice feature to be able to backdate posts. Especially when it comes to running a forum for news that gets pulled to the front page of a website. For instance I've got a website with a bunch of news posted to it in plain jane HTML. But if I wanted to transfer it to the forums I'd need to backdate it.
3. Gallery View. Here is a great example of a messageboard doubling and an image gallery:

It's simple and effective. You could use the attach file option already in MyBB as a way to make this work. First file (image) attached would be the thumbnail used on the forumview. The rest would all show up full sized or as thumbnails in the threadview.
