Is there a way to put in list of email address to be emailed whenever a new post is made to particular forums. Or for that matter whenever a reply is made.

Yeah. Theres a function in myBB that lets users do this already. If you scroll down to the bottom of this page, you should find a link called: Subscribe to this Thread. Thats what you want?

Not exactly. It's more for notifying people without them having to subscribe to the thread. It works for all threads. Everytime a thread is added or replied to in that forum they get an email. Great for small forums people don't check everyday.

At the bottom of each forum is a Link to subscribe to this forum. So you just have to subscribe to ech forum of your board and should be notified if a new massage is posted.
