Doesn't seem to bother me and I hate heights, yet the path does look like it needs some major repairs.

I personally don't mind heights. I feel quite comfortable. IMO

Now if I saw some parts of the path I wouldn't even get started until I saw others go by. But ya the rope would make it a lot easier to get through. I'm not afraid of heights as long as I know I'm not going to fall.
