Is there a easy way to find and delete in a forum all images that do not work.
For example images that give the small red cross or a replaced image from the server like photobucket do.

Short of viewing each page, not really. Unless you're handy with coding, I'm sure you can whip up a script to check each .gif/.jpg/.png file...

The "red X" is given by Internet Explorer if it can't find the image on the server. For those, typically Apache's error log will show the 404'd images.

As for Photobucket, it's rather tricky.
