My CAPTCHA has gone wild for some reason. The problem occurred just recently - I first thought that I busted something when I customized my own theme but the problem occurrs on the new installation as well, over and over again.

The signs in the CAPTCHA are white, almost invisible.

I get this problem only on live environment. I deleted all the files from public_html, deleted all databases and made new ones, etc. but without success. On my localhost I don't have this problem. I'm clueless...
Upload this captcha.php file to your mybb directory. It should fix your problem.
Regards.

Thanks rcpalace, but nothing changed Sad
Has this just happened recently? Has anything changed with your PHP/GD configuration lately?
Yes, this started to happen just recently, I never had this problem before. Nothing changed with the configuration as far as I know...
Hmm, reinstalling doesn't help whatsoever. It seems I'll have to wait for 1.4, what else? ...
Try reuploading your inc/captcha_fonts folder
Well, funny thing is that I reuploaded captcha_fonts folder and again, nothing changed but when I deleted those two fonts (edmunds and MINYN___ ttf's) from the folder, the signs in the CAPTCHA became visible, tho looking somewhat different.

examples:

If I upload those fonts, the signs in the CAPTCHA become invisible again.
Ok I suggest you delete them and use the default system font then. It's seems like the easiest way to solve the problem Wink
More than likely your host screwed up their GD library during a php update. Contact them as well abou the problem.
