How private are private forums?

Can google and other bots get into a private forum? If so how private are they really? Is there a way of preventing this from happening.

They should be thrown the "You do not have permission to view the page."

By default, bots are in the same usergroup as guests. So if you logout and try to access your private forum, what you see is what the bot sees (which should be the No Permissions page)
