i am getting this error when tring to access my forum

MySQL error: 1251
Client does not support authentication protocol requested by server; consider upgrading MySQL client

everything was working good intill this popped up?

My guess is that there's some conflict between PHP and MySQL.

If you have root access to the server, try upgrading MySQL and PHP (as well as the PHP-MySQL extension) to the latest versions.

If not, you'll probably need to contact your host.
