Hello there!!!!
My name is giulio, i'm italian, sorry my english!!
I've this problem friends...I've pull off the option 'Friendly Redirection Pages' , so it works perfect if I use browse Firefox or Opera, contrarily no works good with Internet Explorer 7: because when I post a message, it redirect at the top page and no at least message that i've composed. I might modify something for working with Browser Ie7 too?
Thanks a lot!!
I hope write understandable.
Are you trying to turn on or off that setting? Please note there is a setting in the Admin CP, and there is also an option for it in User CP --> Edit Options.

Hello DennisTT!!!
I'm trying to turn off setting. If I put in turn on, it works good, no works if put turn off.
Yes, I've de-select 'Show friendly redirect pages' too, in User Cp-->Edit options -> Other options,
but this problem always. But with Ie7 only! With Firefox, Opera, Solaris all right, only with Ie7 Sad
strange browser ie7...
Yeah, IE7 is a strange browser indeed.

Where does IE7 redirect you to? (ie, when you post a message, what is the URL of the page you get sent to?)
Hello ZiNga BuRga!!

Hope, I understand good your question ZiNga(sorry i'm ItalianSad)..
ZiNga when I post a message Ie7 redirect at the Top page, no at last message that I write, example:
I'm composing a message, url this: http://www.heynow1.altervista.org/cs555/...hp?tid=161

so , go on 'Post Reply', IE gets redirected to the first post
of the topic. It doesn't direct me to the post I made but to the top of the page. This means I have to scroll down to see last my post

so url is:
http://www.heynow1.altervista.org/cs555/...1&pid=3052&

SadSadSad
That's a weird URL...
I presume Firefox will direct you to:
http://www.heynow1.altervista.org/cs555/showthread.php?tid=161&pid=3052#pid3052
? If so, I really can't think of anything. Does anyone else get this? (don't have IE7 to test this with)
Hello ZiNga!
Yes, Firefox or Opera or anothers Browser except Ie7, redirect good:

http://www.heynow1.altervista.org/cs555/showthread.php?tid=161&pid=3052#pid3052

All my users that make use of Ie7, have this problems, no problems with Firefox or Opera that they employ.

If another members here make use of Ie7, like could taste this strange problem with Ie7.Sad

very weirdSad

I have the redirect turned off on my forums and have tested it on ie6, 7 and Firefox and all three work correct for me. When i make the post it takes me directly to where i made the post. I assume that IS how it is supposed to work correct?

whoops. scratch IE 6 from the above. It works on using quick reply but NOT reply. Using the reply takes you to the TOP of the page/thread instead of the post you just made. I'll check again on ie7 when that computer becomes free. I only tested with quick reply.
Sorry about that.
Yes HarryWx, works only with Quick reply! I've seen too
but if use new reply redirect at the top page .
Sad
anyway i use opera, so goes great, i've install a new forum
