This is probably really simple, but any guest who views my forum will see it in threaded mode. Is this default? If it is, how do I make sure that "Linear View" is set to default for everyone?
By default, it should be linear. When showthread.php runs, it'll only display in threaded mode when "$mybb->input['mode']" equals "threaded". So I'm suspecting somewhere in your showthread.php/global.php/plugins, the variable is set to threaded?
I'll go and check the showthread/global.php files, but I doubt any of the plugins would do that. Okay, so far, I've found nothing. The odd part is, it's only happening for guests. I'm trying to get that to linear for guests.
Hm. Are any of your MyBB files modified? Also, what plugins are you using?
Well, I use an entire gamut of plugins. I have a few edited MyBB files, but nothing concerning thread viewing. It's been like this since the start, but it never became an issue until now.
Got it.. can't believe I missed this.
Go to your ACP > Settings > Show Thread Options > Edit
And find Usenet Style Thread View. Turn that off.
