Hi everyone,

I have a forum with a series of subforums. Although I thought this was sensible, I find that most visitors to the site are getting confused (they don't automatically drill down to appropriate subforum).

I now want to make my subforums into foums and keep the few posted threads.

How do I do this without causing any ongoing problems (e.g. broken parent child relationships, etc)?

I am using the latest MyBB. I have about 8 subforums and <20 posts?

Just edit the subforum, and change the parent forum to a valid forum category.

I did this but now my thread and reply counts on the index page are stuffed. What is the best way of reseting the counters?

I found a thread that may solve the problem but I am not sure if we are talking about the same problem.

The other problem is that I don't know how to run the php program that this thread points to, i.e. fixparentlists.php.

Any help would be appreciated.

Try this:
Admin CP --> Maintenance --> Recount & Rebuild
1) Thread recount
2) Forum recount
3) Stats recount
4) User post recount
