I just installed my first MyBB and looks good so far, but can anybody tell me if there is anything on the file permissions I have to set back? Thanks, SY

It's there, you just need to set it a FID to use.

No file permissions that you have to set back, there is an optional one and that is listed in the Wiki.

Thanks, so simply leaving the lock file in place is enough? Great! I can see the portal with the link you gave me but what do you mean with "you just need to set it a FID to use." What is "FID"??? Thanks again for your help, SY

FID is a Forum ID. It is the number you see after the "fid=" part of the URL when viewing a forum.

You would need to go to "Settings -> Portal Settings -> Forum ID to pull announcements from" and put in that box the FID of the forum(s) you want the portal to show content from.

Nops, no luck, which format does it have to be? Just 1,2,3 ? SY

Yeah, if you wanted "My Forum", you would enter "2"; if you wanted "Test forum 1", you would enter "3"; and if you wanted both, you would enter "2,3".

I entered 2, 3, and also 2,3 without space and still no luck ;-( SY

What happens if you just enter one or the other?
