how can i manage/modify threads on mybb. ther is a thread a user post and its annoying. i dont want to ban the user or delete his account, i just want to modify the thread. its causing havok on my site.

Modify before you post them, or before another member posts them? If it's the latter, you can enable "moderation" in all your forum, that way the threads won't show up until a moderator approves them.
"Admin CP -> Manage Forums -> (The forum you want) -> Settings -> Moderate New Threads -> Yes -> Update Forum".

To edit a posted thread, you click the "Edit" button on the top post in the thread.
