1000px width will create a left/right scroll at the bottom of a page when being viewed in 1024X768px. Trust me, I had to deal with this issue and had to bump the entire page down to 975px so it wouldn't scroll..then had to adjust each table and banner to fix the new tables.

Mybb is pretty much all tabular data, and while its not the best coded tables, it is faster and less code in this case to use tables.

Besides, I don't think MrDoom is a developer
