The mod PM On Registration isn't working for me

Please make sure in Admin CP --> Users & Groups --> Manage Groups --> Edit Awaiting Activation that the usergroup is allowed to access all aspects of Private Messaging.
Can Use Private Messaging
Can Send PMs
Can Track PMs
Can Deny PM Receipts
are all yes
