I see a LOT of javascript in 1.4...how functional is the site for people that have it turned off?

I know a lot of people call for more Ajax but I am one of those people that really feels it shouldn't be overused.

It should function just fine. I just disabled it and things just fall back to non-javascript alternatives.

The front end of MyBB will function fine with Javascript disabled - it's been designed to work this way.

Also i want to ask on the lines of JS people say when a script has a lot of it when it comes to modding it is harder and takcs a lot more is this right or is it easy to use and work around with plugins.

Yeah, its all fine, you just lose the editor functionality.

Most of it is probably the prototype JS library.

As for the Javascript. I turned off Javascript and I can't rate threads from the forum view:

Yes - that's by design.

You're going to lose out on nifty methods to access features, but the core functionality (such as rating the thread) is still there.

Alright...just trying to get as much info as I can so I know how to answer questions that appear at my own forums when I go 1.4.
