If in Internet Explorer you view a thread that is bold (indicating the post hasn't been read?) when you are a Guest, and there is other threads in the same forum that aren't read, they are all marked as read, instead of just the one the user has read.
To reproduce it, do the following:
1. Use Internet Explorer
2. Log Out / stay as a Guest
3. Open a thread (one you haven't viewed yet), ie:
http://community.mybboard.net/thread-32273.html
4. Then go back to the forum display were that thread was in:
http://community.mybboard.net/forum-11.html
5. All the threads are now marked as read
You didn't mention which version of IE?
Sorry, the only version I have installed is Internet Explorer 7, not sure about older/newer versions.
Chris.
Also present in ie 6.0
note: if you are at first time in mybb as guest - never logged before - bug is not present! If you login and logout as Chris said you can reproduce the bug!
Hope this can help

I believe it's because the old cookies still exist (1.2 versus 1.4). We need to somehow tag the cookies that are not 1.4 usable and then recreate them.

if you mean browser cookies, just delete the MyBB cookie, and log back in at the community.

Well yeh, but not everybody knows how to delete or would want to delete their cookies.
