The first and last feature in the pagination should definitely come back. I'm not going to cruise through a load of pages to get to the first, or the last page. Like the Last one to post wins contest; I don't think anyone wants to manually cruise 64 pages to get to the first page, nor head back to the main forum, search for the topic, then click on last or first.

The actual page numbers represent the first && last page;

What are you talking about? It's still there; you just click the last page number either before "Previous" or "Next" and it will be the first or last page.
