Well, I'm just worried that using a number of plugins on forum. 25+
So does it affect my forums performance in any way?
What is the optimum number of plugins installed on a forum.
Your best bet is to create a "test" forum, then before adding plug ins/mods or any other tweaks to your "live" forum, install them on the "test" forum. Many folks do this, it sure beat "frying" a "live forum.
Well, I've just started a forum and have not made it public as of yet. But does installing more plugins clog up my forum like installing more applications on windows does? :p
I don't think you'll have any problems. I use at least 50 plugins and don't have any problems on my forum, and there are others that use more.

Alright, thats great then, thanks!
Installing more plugins will put additional load on your server.

There's a number of factors you should consider though:
1) The load each plugin contributes - simple plugins generally won't contribute much, compared to more complex ones
2) Is server resources that important yet?
