i m uploading the "Download page" plugin .... wherein i m asked to set the permission of a directory to 0755 i dont understand this..

in permission there are three options


read write execute....
Owner

group

All users

so which options should be checked?


and after activating the plugin when i try to modify / delete "Downloads" from admin cp this is what msg i get....

"Access Denied
You do not have permission to access this part of the administration control panel"

What what it sounds like, there's two issues.

I think you're meant to CHMOD your folder to 0777 (not 0755, but that depends on your server setup). 0777 means execute+read+write to owner, group and all users.

For your second issue, check the admin permissions for yourself - make sure you have permission to access the downloads section page.

alright, everything seems to be working fine now... i have the access to add/delete and modify the download section..

only question is..... whenever i try to upload the .zip or .rar file it says that upload failed
