Is there a way to have an external audio clip load and play inside a thread? I'd prefer this over providing an external link to pull people away from the forums and have the audio clips buffer and play right inside the forum thread that was created.

You could try this...

<EMBED SRC=http://urladdresstoyourmusicfile.wav width="300" height="45" AUTOSTART="FALSE"></EMBED>

it's requiring apple quicktime..is there a way to get it to play via wmp or realplayer?
If you view it through IE, then it should play through your default media player. If viewed through Firefox you may need to install the Quicktime plug in.

It's a .wav file, it shouldn't normally need Quicktime.
just don't wanna work in firefox for me...I've got the newest quicktime out and have tried clearning my cookies/cache with no such luck.
Does it work in IE? When in Firefox does a tab show saying you need a plug in?

It works fine through Firefox on my forum.

works fine in IE and uses WMP, which I wish FF would default to.

The tab opens, and I've downloaded the quicktime app it sends me to and it's not working..
Unfortunately it looks like a Firefox issue, I do have the Quicktime Alternative software on my computer...

Which comes with the plug in needed for Firefox, I'm thinking that's why it works for me.
