Hiya,
During installation there were errors, click ok, click next, eventually the "all ok" button was up. Fast forward: Forum sorta kinda appears to work. I posted some stuff as an admin, deleted and got an error, but the posts and threads did go away anyway. Waxed all my cookies and came in clean to see if I could register... nope... all sorts of errors about not being able to find various files. like this one:

mySQL error: 1017
Can't find file: './mysql/mybb_profilefields.frm' (errno: 9)
Query: SELECT * FROM mybb_profilefields WHERE editable='yes' ORDER BY disporder

What is the deal with the .frm file? what is that? I got other errors in other places with the same .frm thingy. I thought the dot stuff was supposed to end in php??

Anyway, so far it's a disaster, but please try it out and see whts up:

.frm is actually a mySQL file that is related to your database data. This is not a MyBB problem.

If you are hosted with a web host, it would be best to create a support request with them because this isn't something that we can fix.

Thanks... I quit. My host is such a POS that this effort to get even a remedial forum up and running has gone on for almost two years. Getting info from them is like pulling teeth with tweezers. I might try again next year. Until then.....
