What happened to them? You listed them as one of the new features, but I don't see a setting for them anywhere.

Where do you see/saw that ? =P

I suggested it a while ago, then saw it somewhere.

I too have no idea what your talking about. Although I think I've seen it suggested I don't think many forums need and for that reason wasn't included. Although I may be wrong.

We said it definitely won't be included for 1.4 since it's on a feature freeze.

That's bad. I'm sure a lot of owners would have welcomed this feature, and for MyBB Group it shouldn't be a big effort, but as a plugin it is more difficult.
Edit forumdisplay and thread template, add forum setting with textarea, add table on databasem ... could be done in a few minutes.

Just make a plugin because I'm sure there are just as many admins who don't need this feature. I for example don't.

You have to subscribe for 4.99 US$ a year. I don't like that and it doesn't have a reason: You want money for addons of a free software! Not from me.
And no, your webspace couldn't cost so much. E.g. here in Germany it is possible to get .de Domains for 20 (euro-) cents per month. There are many hosters who offer free webspace.
