I want to open an online shop. I have been using eBay but now want to branch out on my own. Just wondered if anyone else had a shop and if so what script they use

What is the best and easiest free script?
Are there free skins around for this script?

If you want to open an ecommerce website then I would highly recommend the following:

1. Joomla! - http://www.joomla.org
2. VirtueMart - http://www.virtuemart.com

Both free and easy to use and configure. I recently designed a site for a local business and used both - http://www.lalasnappycakes.com to give you an idea.

OsCommerce is imho the route to go..or possibly the fork ZenCart.

Yes, Zen Cart is tby far the most powerful free script out there (that I've tried). However, it has too many files and was hassle customizing (contrary to what it says).

cubechat is good its free and there is a better verion wich you can take out the copyright. the company chris works for makes a shoping chart i think

i would sure think about using cubechart if i was making a online shop

Can anyone recommend something simple? I feel that most of the ones i have tried tend to be bloated and alot of the features are not required.
