I would like to make a theme for my site but I have no idea on where to start. Do you just go to create theme in the admin cp? If so, is that the only step in creating a theme?

if you want a very simple theme, then yes. if you want a better one, you'll need to make the gradients, images, etc... with photoshop of flash or something.

Just out of the ordinary that you dont create with the theme maker in the admin panel.

anyway you may use the simple theme maker thing in ACP or you can make an advanced one using photoshop, or flash or something, which will look more professional

CHeck out frostbite for a more advanced theme. CUrrently i don't think theme's on he scale as vb or phpbb can be made but you can do some things.
