I need to migrate mybb and all it's forums over to another server. I've already installed a fresh copy of the MYBB on the new server and it's setting at defaults. Does this make it easier to migrate the board from the other server, or should I start from scratch?

Did you install the new copy of MyBB with the same database prefix as your old MyBB? If so, just import your old database into the new database and replace the existing tables in the new database with those from the old. Then once you do that, go to your ACP and make sure your cookie and URL settings are correct.
