is there like a template to actually put at the bottom easily to change the forum skin like vbulletin?

look at the Themes and Templates section. i think there was one there.

I requested it for MyBB 1.0 a while ago, i'm not sure if it's going to be added or not. As far as I know, there isn't a mod for this.

Yes there is! My mods It can be placed where the user likes in the header or footer templates. Check out my mod thread for QuickTheme. I've already made a plugin version of it for MyBB 1.0
