I'm trying to let guests be able to view and download attachments but am having an issue.

I have set the group permissions to be able to view/download attachments for guests.

However every time a guest tries to download or view an attachment, they get a no permissions page.

I've already checked the usual culprit, settings.php is already writable - chmod 777.

I don't know what the problem could be.

You have a forumlink of a thread that contains an attachment ?

It does this with all attachments even pictures, so I am linking to a thread with pictures as attachments.

Clicking on any picture will give a no permissions page:

And you don't have any plugins related to attachments installed ?

I did have the MyPS attachment plugin installed before, but that has been disabled for a while now.

There is no other attachment plugins installed to my knowledge.

:Edit: It's fixed, I didn't know not only did you have to edit group permission, you also had to edit forum permissions as well for attachments.
