When I go to change admin permissions (Can Manage Settings, Can Manage Announcements etc.) and click the Update Permissions button, I get this message:

Forbidden
You don't have permission to access /bbsforum/admin/adminoptions.php on this server.
Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

Any ideas on how I can fix this please?

I went to View PHP Info and checked for mod_security and found nothing.

Incidentally the permission on /admin/adminoptions.php is the same as other files in that directory... 755

Is there anything more specific in your server's error log? You may need to ask your webhost for the log.
