Ok so I've uploaded the files to my host, CHMODed what the wiki told me, and I keep geting the following message.
"The installer is currently locked, please remove 'lock' from the install directory to continue"
Am I missing something? I've checked and rechecked the permissions for the entire Install folder and they're 777?
(is it possible it's running into a problem with the 1.2 board still running off of the same host, different directory but same host)

Look for a file called LOCK..delete it.

The only one I've found is in the currently active forum. There isn't one in the 1.4 folder.

Do you want to install 1.4 on new folder? Or upgrade from currently forum folder?

well the current plan is to install a fresh copy in another folder, let the staff get used to it and see if we run into any bugs, then upgrade the official forum.
