The checkboxes to moderate threads on the search result page show up for threads only where a moderator has permission to moderate them. But there is a layout issue:

Are you sure your search templates have been updated?
A user reported this issue on the german forums. I'll ask him about that.

Yes. The templates are updated.
This mistak I found on default template too.
