I just upgraded from 1.2 to 1.4 and now my forum is messed up. I am not sure how to fix this since I am still really new to all this. Can anyone help me with this.

No, None. It all went really smoothly.

the theme might not be compatiable with mybb 1.4 try using the default theme and see if it still looks like that

Yeah no change.

The only thing I can think of is when I uploaded the files for the upgrade I uploaded the settings file without thinking. Could that have done it?

possibly, try deleting that file
