I forgot to deactivate my plugins before uploading the v1.4 files. How can I deactivate my plugins now that the files are uploaded? I have NOT upgraded yet, I am just trying to figure out how to deactivate the plugins so my upgrade goes smoothly.

Do I need to upload my backup of my forum that I made incase the upgrade didn't work?

The easiest way to do that would be using your old files, yes.

That's what I had to do, and it worked fine. You *DID* download your old files before uploading, right?
