Hi Everyone,

I want to move my forums from one domain to another. I mean from abc.com/forums to xyz.com/forums.

Can someone guide me to the steps needed for it so that the transition can happen in a totally transparent manner for the current forum users and with minimal disruption of services.

Any pointers to the same would be appreciated.

I moved domains quite recently and had no problems at all, I followed the instructions in this thread

Thanks Keith W for the link... I was thinking whether I would also require to do anything with datatbases since I am not moving on to the new host ..my host will remain the same only the domain name would change.

If you still have the same account with your host and the same database with the same forum files in the same location then all I think you need to do is update the Board URL and HomePage URL in General Configuration.
