First, try accesing your adminCP and disabling all the plugins. After that it should work now.
If you can't access it, then delete every plugin, at least threadviewer.
Thread viewer is is not 1.4.x compatible. You MUST disable or delete that plugin, at least on the meanwhile it gets updated for 1.4.x
