How do rounded corners in the "thead"?
You mean the big blue parts, top and bottom of the Quick Reply, and threads?
I think that's what they mean... just download a theme that has them.
It's acheived through a CSS3 cheat called "border radius." It only works in Firefox and Safari, so it's not widely used. It also makes any CSS2 valid documents invalid. More information about it here:

There are other ways to achieve rounded corners, with a combination of images, CSS, and JavaScript. All you got to do is search!
I tried an older way that still works with 1.2, but it refuses to work with 1.4...
Well, the tutorial by Firefox Wiz has 1 little problem, features were added into where it was supposed to work. However, I finally got it working xD
(I still can't get the Board Stats to work though)
