Activating version 1.1 of the NewsBar plugin by Phenomenon removes the name of the Akismet plugin from my plugins list. Deactivating the NewsBar plugin restores the name of the Akismet plugin.
Only the name is removed from the list; the version number is still shown, and the 'Deactivate' and 'Uninstall' links still work as expected.
I haven't really looked into it, but I'm guessing it's a clash in language vars.
Version 1.0 of the NewsBar plugin didn't have this problem.
