I upgraded to 1.4.1 a few days ago.. I remade the themes/templates,customised and stuff.. and then in the Show Thread Options <in the acp> I chose "display posts in classical mode", but problem is, even though I set it to show them classically, the default view for registered users is still horizontal, and they have to check the "display in classic mode" checkbox in the userpanel..

How can I fix this? I've got quite a lot of negative feedback about this thing from my users, and I don't think many of them like going to the Usercp and checking stuff manually, no matter how simple it is...

If nobody says another way to do it, there is a possible hack, but you have to workaround with the phpMyAdmin.

Enter on the users field and change the users preference for the new one.

It's easy with the right Update SQL statement.

This has been bought up a lot and you can't force that on users, the ACP setting only works for guests.

Just tell your members to set it to how they want themselves.....

One cool suggestion was to copy your postbit_classic template and put it in postbit.

DennisTT has made a Default Profile plugin. That option is supplied in this!

Default profile only affects new registrations.
